about

Sonnet for the Monstrous is the musical setting of a poem featured in "Verlossen," an art anthology that presents the world of Araknights Gothika. "Verlossen" was published in Macedonia on 25 September 2023. An English version is coming soon.

lyrics

Pray tell, now what the hell has happened here?
I made the alterations to survive
Feels like the world you know has disappeared
You kept us warm, but I kept us alive

Will you love me and my metallic mind?
For you my dear there’s nothing I won’t do
You balk but I won’t have you left behind
Even if I am monstrous to you.

Despite it all, my beating heart still pines
And were it made of steel I’d love you still
Even if a monster my mind’s still mine
I think. My soul is yours. Do what you will.

But tell, are you afraid to gaze on me?
Or are you afraid of what you could be?
